About Monty Felts

Monty never had a chance to attend another university other than ACU. His dad, Ricky Felts, sang him to sleep as a baby with the ACU Alma Mater. By the time Monty was 3 years old, he was singing it word for word. His great-grandfather, Don H. Morris, once said ACU was “no ordinary university.” Monty believes that very strongly. ACU is indeed no ordinary university! Monty started at ACU in 2001 and graduated with a degree in Business Management in 2005.    The best part of ACU for him was meeting Emily Petr in 2004 when she was a Sing Song hostess. Monty and Emily were married one week after graduating and within 18 months were living in Nigeria, working with a multinational oil and gas corporation on a $3.2 billion construction project. Over the next 11 years, they would live on 3 continents and bring 3 sweet kids into the world, who all know they are headed for ACU.    In 2018, Monty decided to move back to Texas. He put his skills to work building branch offices across the nation focused on bringing the luxury experience to the mortgage industry. Monty personally learned from the founder of a high-end hotel chain how to deliver excellence — first to his team and then to every client and partner. Monty set a vision for his team to serve every client as if they were a high-level executive and established 11 service standards to demonstrate this.            Monty wanted to partner with ACU to give back to the alumni and their families in a way that would continue to “Change the World.” Wildcat Rewards was born soon after, and it is an honor for Monty to help ACU alumni in all 50 states, as his family has received so much from the university.
